“Have a professional evening” is absolutely the phrase you deploy when reality has become so absurd that corporate customer-service voice is the only remaining defense mechanism.
Breakfast
Sno’ woke up in Illinois with two goals: build a career and strategically reposition her Netflix nap schedule.
Very achievable. Very adult. Very “this chapter is finally becoming normal.”
Wisclonesin, however, had apparently scheduled breakfast.
Today’s special: unresolved six-month Rubiclone leftovers, reheated aggressively, served with a side of “surprise legal nonsense.”
Bon appétit.
Lunch
By noon, Sno’ was trying to do what every functional woman dreams of doing:
answer emails, make money, build things, reorganize her life, maybe stare into the middle distance for recreational purposes.

Unfortunately, the Rubiclone adventure had achieved sentience.
It was no longer simply part of her life.
It had become a freelance project manager with no boundaries, no deliverables, and absolutely no intention of leaving.
Meanwhile, Wisclonsin not-so quietly opened its laptop and said:
“Interesting. What if we released more DLC?”
Nobody had asked for DLC.
Nobody had purchased the season pass.
And yet.
Dinner
By evening, Sno’ had reached the final stage of acceptance:
She did not know exactly where she was in Illinois.
She did not know why Wisconsin remained emotionally subscribed to her existence.
She did know one thing.
If anybody showed up at the door attempting to extend the Rubiclone cinematic universe, Sno’ was prepared.
Corporate customer-service voice engaged.
Professional posture activated.
Spiritually clocked out.
“Hello, gentlemen. Before we proceed, could you please clarify the scope of today’s nonsense? Thank you. Have a professional evening.”
And with that, Sno’ returned to Netflix.
Because sometimes healing is growth.
Sometimes healing is boundaries.
And sometimes healing is realizing that Wisconsin can release all the surprise DLC it wants, but you are no longer required to play the expansion pack.
Sno’ drops her mic and whispers to absolutely no one:
“That is catastrophic levels of composed.”
Stay tuned for the next episode—unless you manifest it.
Not Sno’. She’s busy.

Surviving surprise DLC with inappropriate levels of professionalism.
