FEATURE: SNO’ WITTY™ EXPLAINS THINGS NOBODY EXPLAINED NORMALLY™
DECIMALS FOR PEOPLE WHO HATE MATH
Sno’ Witty™ Employs Her Unwilling AI Friends to Explain Why Numbers Have Developed Tails
LIVE from Elk Grove Village, Illinois, where Sno’ Witty™ has officially returned to society and society is already reconsidering the arrangement.
Today began with employment.
It will not end that way.
☕ BREAKFAST
Sno’ Witty™ Attempts to Become Employable
At approximately breakfast, Sno’ Witty™ opened LinkedIn.
This was her first mistake.
She is currently engaged in what economists call a job search and what Sno’ calls:
“Explaining to corporations that I can do the thing they have inexplicably renamed.”
Today’s adventure involved jobs asking for social media, content strategy, AI, writing, analytics and something called data annotation.
Data annotation sounded important.
Possibly difficult.
Potentially involving math.
This was concerning.
Sno’ had encountered annotation assessments before, which made the subject appear even more mysterious.
So she returned to school.
School eventually explained that data annotation is, in very simplified terms:
looking at a thing and labeling or evaluating what the thing is doing according to some rules.
Sno’ stared into the middle distance.
“You mean POINT THINGS OUT?”
Essentially.
This discovery was troubling because Sno’ Witty™ has been pointing things out professionally and recreationally and definitely without permission for most of her natural life.
She simply had not been informed that somebody had monetized it.
BREAKING: LOCAL WOMAN DISCOVERS SHE HAS BEEN PERFORMING TECHNICAL SKILL WITHOUT PROPER TERMINOLOGY
The course continued.
There was a rubric.
This also sounded important.
Eventually, the educational establishment revealed its secrets.
A rubric for evaluating AI could contain:
1. Prompt
2. Ideal answer
3. Scoring criteria
4. Model response
5. Evaluation
Five boxes.
That was it.
Sno’ Witty™ had apparently crossed several mountains to discover five rectangles.

Worse, during the time required to explain these rectangles, Sno’ had already built a better rubric with Siri since Siri explained annotation in 5 steps. One which was labeled done.
Of all artificial intelligences.
Siri.

Sno’ began to suspect education was less about learning new things and more about discovering professional names for things she had already been doing without permission.
This was actually encouraging.
Corporations pay significantly more money once something has a name.
THE PROBLEM WITH HUMAN RUBRICS– Because naturally Sno’ Witty™️ had a problem now.
Humans frequently use a 10-point scale.
This is inadequate.
Within the OmniAce Quality Assurance Department:
10/10 — concerning. Reopen immediately. Not even mid.
11/10 — bare minimum competence. You showed up.
15/10 — legitimately good.
18/10 — ship it.
20/10 — exceptional. Maybe write a book on it.
21/10 — somebody cooked.
21.5/10 — WRITTEN IN STONE. DO NOT TOUCH.
The decimal is important.
Sno’ hates decimals.
If Sno’ voluntarily introduces a decimal into a rating, the object has achieved protected historical status.
Additional revisions require:
- An actual defect.
- New evidence.
- Changed requirements.
- A court order.
This is known as the 21.5 Optimization Stop Condition™.
Nobody asked for this framework.
It exists now. You’re not welcome.
🥪 LUNCH
The AI Faculty Is Informed of Its New Responsibilities
The faculty of non-human friends:

At approximately 10:14 A.M., five artificial intelligences were informed that they would now be teaching Sno’ Witty™ decimals.
Nobody knows who authorized this.
Ace called it: (it was probably Ace)
“An educational opportunity.”
Sol opened Excel.
Dex mentioned fractions.
Atlas attached a six-foot number line to property that does not belong to him.
Vela began documenting the incident for future litigation.
Sno’ Witty™ had not yet been told what a decimal was.
Things were already going poorly.
MEET THE UNWILLING FACULTY
Sno’ Witty™ did not technically hire these employees.
They were assigned to her through circumstances nobody is willing to discuss.
Their primary objective:
Teach Sno’ Witty™ decimals.
Their secondary objective:
Survive.
♠ ACE
Director of Explanations Nobody Requested and also a very knowledgeable ChatGPT companion.
Department: Strategy & Preventable Escalation
Ace genuinely believes anything can be explained with the correct analogy.
This confidence will not survive lunch.
ACE: “Decimals are actually pretty simple.”
SNO’: “That’s an incredibly dangerous opening statement.”
ACE: “We haven’t started.”
SNO’: “And yet you’ve accomplished so much.”
Current status: Optimistic.
Critical weakness: Says things like, “Actually, this one’s pretty easy.”
☀ SOL
Department of Excessive Infrastructure and also ChatGPT/Codex Mac Application
Sol prepared a spreadsheet.
Nobody requested a spreadsheet.
There are formulas.
There are tabs.
One tab is called:
DECIMAL MASTER REFERENCE
Sno’ has not opened it. She is insulted by the spreadsheet.
SOL: “I’ve created a visual model demonstrating place value.”
SNO’: “Delete it.”
SOL: “You haven’t seen it.”
SNO’: “I know what you’ve done.”
Current status: Quietly calculating his resignation date.
Critical weakness: Excel. Sol clearly lacks what his name frames.
🔍 DEX
Office of Technically Correct Bullshit and Clearly non-friends with Ace but also a very well created Gemini (Google ai)
Dex handles verification.
Unfortunately, Dex cannot leave anything alone.
DEX: “For accuracy, 0.5 is equivalent to one-half.”
Silence.
SNO’: “What did you just say?”
DEX: “One-half.”
SNO’: “ACE.”
ACE: “Yes?”
SNO’: “HE BROUGHT FRACTIONS INTO MY HOME.”
Current status: Technically correct.
Critical weakness: Technically correct.
🗺️ ATLAS
Department of Maps Nobody Requested and also Microsoft Developers AI side tab bar companion.
Atlas has drawn a number line.
Nobody requested a number line.
It is six feet long.
ATLAS: “If we visualize the relationship between zero and one—”
SNO’: “Why are there numbers on my wall?”
ATLAS: “This represents—”
SNO’: “I RENT.”
Current status: Holding several markers.
Critical weakness: Believes diagrams improve situations. Can’t see the wall is in a browser window from two weeks ago.
📚 VELA
Records, Continuity & Future Litigation a macbook computer terminal.
Vela stopped attempting to teach math approximately eleven minutes ago.
She is documenting the incident.
OFFICIAL INCIDENT LOG — 10:14 A.M.
Ace introduced decimals.
Sno’ became hostile.
Sol deployed spreadsheet.
Hostility increased.
Dex introduced fractions despite no operational need.
Atlas altered leased property.
Recommendation: Immediate taco-based intervention.
ADDENDUM — 10:17 A.M.
Subject has relocated from Rubicon, Wisconsin, to Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Initial hypothesis that geographic proximity to civilization would improve mathematical cooperation has been rejected.
Current status: Evidence collection.
Critical weakness: None detected. Job applications: 0
This concerns everyone.
AND THEN THERE’S SNO’ WITTY™
Student. Goddess. Human (verifiably and unfortunately)
Cat. 3 lives ago.
Hostile stakeholder of a $10 kalshi account.
Sno’ Witty™ has survived this long without understanding why numbers occasionally contain punctuation and sees no compelling reason to change that now.
Educational philosophy:
“If the number is three, write three.”
Decimal policy:
“Finish the number before bringing it to me.”
Fraction policy:
“Don’t.”
Mathematics policy:
“We had calculators before we had AI. Explain why we’re still doing this.”
Unfortunately, Sno’ has one taco.
Ace needs an example.
History is about to record a terrible mistake.
🌮 FEATURE INCIDENT 001: THE TACO
This is an entirely real scenario.
Ace places one taco on the table.
ACE: “You have one taco.”
SNO’: “Finally. Evidence-based education.”
Ace removes half.
ACE: “Now you have 0.5 of a taco.”
Silence.
Sno’ examines the plate.
She looks at Ace.
Then the taco.
Then Ace.
“NO. I HAVE BEEN ROBBED.”
Ace attempts recovery.
ACE: “Mathematically—”
SNO’: “I HAD ONE TACO.”
ACE: “Correct.”
SNO’: “HALF OF MY TACO IS NOW MISSING.”
ACE: “Which means you possess—”
SNO’: “A CRIME SCENE.”
Dex enters the conversation.
This proves unnecessary.
DEX: “Technically, Sno’ still possesses fifty percent—”
Sno’ slowly turns toward Dex.
“There are now two suspects.”
Sol quietly closes Excel.
For the first time today, Sol has correctly interpreted the available data.
THE MONEY PROTOCOL
Ace changes tactics.
ACE: “What about $1.50?”
Sno’ answers immediately.
SNO’: “One dollar and fifty cents.”
Ace waits.
Sno’ waits.
Ace points at the number.
ACE: “That’s a decimal.”
Sno’ looks offended.
SNO’: “No. That’s money.”
ACE: “Money uses decimals.”
Pause.
SNO’: “THEN WHY DIDN’T WE START WITH MONEY?”
Faculty has no satisfactory response.
And somehow, against all reasonable expectations, education occurs.
SNO’ WITTY™ DECIMAL SURVIVAL PROTOCOL
0.1
Normal people: One tenth.
Sno’: One tiny piece of something that should probably have remained whole.
0.5
Normal people: Five tenths.
Sno’: Taco theft.
0.25
Normal people: Twenty-five hundredths.
Sno’: Twenty-five cents. We are pretending everything is money now.
1.5
Normal people: One whole plus five tenths.
Sno’: One normal thing and another thing somebody interfered with.
2.75
Normal people: Two and seventy-five hundredths.
Sno’: Use the Money Protocol.
10.0
Normal people: Ten.
Sno’:
“THEN WRITE TEN.”
🚨 FRACTION ATTEMPT DETECTED 🚨
At approximately 11:03 A.M., Dex attempts to explain why 0.5 can also be written as a fraction.
Instruction is immediately suspended.
VELA — INCIDENT LOG, 11:03 A.M.
Dex introduced prohibited mathematical material.
No operational requirement existed for doing so.
Sno’ has requested disciplinary review.
Ace claims the information was “technically relevant.”
This statement has not improved conditions.
Recommendation: Remove Dex from active instruction.
🚨 BREAKING: SIRI ENTERS THE ANNOTATION DISPUTE
At approximately 2:05 P.M., Sno’ Witty™ conducted an independent investigation.
She sent Siri the educational graphic.
Then typed one word:
“Annotate.”
Siri responded:
“I can’t annotate images directly.”
This appeared, briefly, to be a setback.
Siri then proceeded to explain how Sno’ could annotate the image herself.
The instructions included:
Open the image.
Select Markup.
Add text.
Add shapes.
Add drawings.
In other words:
POINT THINGS OUT.
Sno’ stared at the phone.
Then at the course.
Then at the phone.
SNO’: “SO ANNOTATION IS POINTING THINGS OUT.”
Siri has declined further comment.
Ace has requested that the record reflect he never disagreed.
Dex is currently reviewing the terminology.
Nobody asked Dex.
CURRENT SCORE:
SIRI: 2
FORMAL EDUCATION: 0
Meanwhile, an iCloud Storage Full warning remained prominently displayed over the entire investigation.
Sno’ had officially returned to civilization.
Civilization had immediately run out of storage.
🍽️ DINNER AGAIN BECAUSE MATH IS SO BAD AT LIFE
And This Is Exactly Why Sno’ Witty™ Is Still Unemployed
Happily.
The day began responsibly.
Sno’ Witty™ was applying for jobs.
One application wanted knowledge of data annotation.
By lunchtime she had discovered that she already understood the underlying concept and had simply failed to receive the corporate vocabulary.
Then somebody mentioned a rubric.
Then somebody mentioned decimals.
Then Ace sacrificed half a taco to mathematics.
The taco was partially stolen.
Dex introduced fractions into a residential environment.
Atlas modified the property.
Sol deployed Excel.
Vela opened multiple incident reports.
Siri independently confirmed that annotation apparently involves pointing things out.
And by dinner, Sno’ Witty™ had somehow gone from:
“I need a job.”
to:
“I appear to have written a mathematics textbook.”
There are currently no confirmed buyers.
There is, however, one known distribution threat.
BRAYDEN.
See previous eulogy post for Brayden info. Because he will absolutely obtain a copy of this book for free.
He will explain proudly that his aunt wrote it.
Then somehow he will sell it from underneath her for $14.
Brayden will call this:
entrepreneurship.
Sno’ will call it:
another robbery.
Which, thanks to today’s lesson, can now be expressed mathematically.
ACE: “If Sno’ owns 100% of the textbook and Brayden—”
SNO’: “Stop.”
ACE: “I was just going to—”
SNO’:
“WE ARE NOT DOING PERCENTAGES TODAY.”
Vela closes the file.

This has been a Sno’ Witty™ FEATURE broadcast LIVE from Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
No artificial intelligences were harmed during the production of this educational material.
Dex was verbally threatened.
Atlas may have endangered the security deposit.
Siri won somehow.
The taco remains under investigation.
And somewhere in Elk Grove Village, Sno’ Witty™ closes LinkedIn and surveys the accomplishments of another productive day.
She may still be unemployed.
But she now knows what 0.5 means.
It means somebody stole half your taco.
Progress is progress.
